Stella Greek is one of those little family owned hole in the wall spots that ends up becoming your favorite place. The food tastes truly authentic and everything was packed with flavor. Even the olives were amazing. The marinades on the meat were so good and you can tell the veggies are super fresh. They were also really sweet to the kids and gave them a little treat before we left, which meant a lot. Great food, great people, and you can feel the family atmosphere the second you walk in. Definitely a local gem.

Irresistibly tasty in appearance and aroma, the food here was completely mouth watering. I try to always find a greek restaurant when I travel, and Stella's did not disappoint. Our server was attentive, but not overtly so. He paid attention from a distance, and his timing was impeccable. When we finished a course, the dishes were swiftly and quietly removed making way for the next course. We started with the flaming cheese and pita appetizer. Greeted with a hearty "Opa!" when the cheese caught fire, the appetizer did not disappoint. The cheese was gooey and melty, and the pita was fresh and hot. Next was the soup ... I had the lemon vegetable and my sister had the lentil. My soup was fresh and lemon- forward without being over powered by the citrus. My sister said it was the best lentil soup she ever tasted. The main course consisted of the chicken lemonado for my sister and the pastitisio for me. The portions were generous. The buttery lemon potatoes that came with my sister's chicken were the best potatoes that either of us have tasted. My pastitisio was simple but the nutmeg flavors pushed it over the top. Looking forward to going back soon.

We have driven past this small Greek restaurant for many years. After a afternoon movie on Sunday we decided to pull in and try it at the Sunday opening time. We were not disappointed, door opened at 4:30 sharp and we became the first guest's of the day. Service from the owner was attentive and the meel was good and reasonable.

We went here for greek easter and had the Easter special. Our first time here. Beautiful small family run restaurant, like the type that were common 40+ years ago but have now largely disappeared with the popularity of large chain restaurants. I would say that the food here is unique, authentic and more hand crafted than you will ever find in the large chain restaurants. From the Easter menu we had the soup which was excellent, we tried both the shrimp and dip/pita bread appetizer. Both were great. All three dips that came with pita bread were most likely homemade with very unique tastes unlike their mass produced counterparts that you find in stores. We liked the eggplant dip the best. For dinner we both chose the leg of lamb and we weren't disappointed. Cooked just right, excellent seasoning and served with oven roasted potatoes. For dessert we tried the Easter bread and the baklava with vanilla ice cream. Both were good, but the baklava was better, and I regretted that we had not ordered 2 of them instead of Easter bread. With our meal we tried 2 greek wines, a white and a rose, and both were enjoyable with our meal. Our waiter was the son of the owners, he was very friendly a

The premiere Greek 🇬🇷 restaurant in the Sarasota area. Stella's serves up classic Greek cuisine done in their own authentic flavors. We came for my birthday 🎉🎂 and stayed for the baklava and great conversation with owner Petros. I ordered the lamb shank and it was juicy, fall-off-the-bone in tomato sauce. My mother ordered the Greek chicken and potatoes which were just like Yia-Yia's. There was a nice crisp on the chicken. My father ordered the salmon dinner which was fresh and delicious.
